Saturday 29 December 2012

Hi to all, hope that christmas was good for you and those that were unable to join in the joy and festivities I do hope that 2013 is going to be much kinder...the world can sometimes seem grim and doomed but we set a foot forward, looking onwards to positive outcomes! My card is to celebrate 'friendship'..Krista gave away this fabulous SC digi image 'Nikki'..she's absolutely gorgeous with her skates on ready for the winter, I coloured her with Promarkers. Their challenge has a lovely pic for inspiration, used one of my fave corner grunge stamps from Stempelglede..it's heat embossed, paper is d/load from Polka Doodle cd, framed grunge sentiment from LOTV (love it), bottom sentiment is from a QVC foam stamp many years ago that I separated by masking it off. Finished with lovely posh ribbon from Meiflower, and some glitter glue.

Challenges are several..Saturated Canary, Stamptacular Sunday, Paper Pretties, Bunny Zoes 3rd, Crafty Sentiments, Bearly Mine, Papertake Weekly (going with anything goes), Simon Says, Crafts and Me, CCT, Stampin for the weekend and Promarker 2nd. Wishing you all a very 'happy and bright 2013!'

Happy Saturday to you all! I thought you might like to see what I've been knitting alongside making cards. I picked up this inexpensive tank top pattern early on in the year from my local charity shop..very old pattern but I enjoyed working with it and my hubby bought me the wool (double knitting). I knitted the cream in it to vary from the pattern and I'm so glad to say he loved it to bits!!! He's a broad shouldered, big chested man and he's asked for a couple more to keep him warm in the winter months, I'm more likely to start knitting sometime after summer 2013 as they are big, I don't like to put my knitting needles down for long as things never get finished when I do that. Back in a bit with my card.

Tuesday 18 December 2012

Morning crafty bloggers...today I've got a couple of quick makes. I've wanted to make these crackers for a while after seeing them across blogland..they look difficult but far from it. I got a freebie pre-coloured template from one of the cardmaking sites (the blue one which does come with its own topper but at the last minute it's gone missing would you believe it, had it in my hand, then the next minute its gone (: Beautiful template, I used it to make another from one of Nikky's fabulous cd's Sundae of Seasons paper (see below), sentiment is old wooden stamp, single punched out snowflake on top left, lovely twine from Meiflower which could easily be used to hang on the christmas tree! I think you can see what I filled mine with, but any little stocking filler miniature toys would do too. Lots of fun with this one, I've 4 to make for us as these will be gone.

So as there are many  christmas challenges at the moment I'll go for another 10...Charisma, Christmas Crafting, Stamptacular sunday, Crafty Ribbons, Ladybugs Crafts Ink, Christmas at Sweet Stampin 2nd, Love to Create, Bunny Zoes 2nd, The pretty little ribbon 3rd final and Crazy. Onward to the next creation, bye!

Saturday 15 December 2012

Good evening to all...at last my card entry is completed for the House Mouse challenge, was lucky to win the last one, many thanks, so looking forward to a spend with my gift voucher. This one is 'finding  friendship'  unique image, love it! Coloured with Promarkers, slight dusting of Glamour Dust, used up some scrappy bits of d/loads and finished with a ticket sentiment.

Thursday 13 December 2012

Hi, today it's a card but not really a celebratory one...I try to keep one in my box for those delicate moments when someone has lost a loved one and the last thing on their mind would be 'happy ...' so I kept it very minimal (hope you can see the spellbinders impressabilities embossing stencil) bit of faux stitching, fab sheer ribbon from Meiflower, lovely sentiment from LOTV (comes with the new stamp 'thinking of you'), bit of glitter glue, punched out X Cut snowflakes with mini brad, some stamping in a row on the right side. This is already on its way to a very dear friend who lost her husband a couple of months ago after 48 years of marriage, she's such a wonderful lady, joy to be around and always there to help. I'm thankful she has a brilliant family who I know will help her adjust.

Inside just says it all... from Elzybells stamps.

Wednesday 12 December 2012

Morning to all! Today I've used 'thomas with champagne' LOTV stamp for my celebratory card..absolutely love this image, there's such a variety of cards you can make using this one..brilliantly cute! I'm hoping everyone is warming up with plenty of mulled wine during this freezing fog period, very chilly again. There's champagne in order for today..coloured with Promarkers, paper from stash, as is narrow ribbon, stamped sentiment is old wooden one, now I know there's 3 punched out snowflakes that I'd glittered in a batch for a reason (LOTV challenge asked for 3 dies/punches) and I do think that I misread it and placed 3 of..so please disregard it if it's not the right one, I won't mind at all!

I left the tag plain as I'll want to place the persons name on it, no glitter (ran out) my daughter will be getting me some later today. So 10 challenges..LOTV, Creative Craft, CYP, Sparkles Forum, Cutie Pie, Pretty Little Ribbon shop, Cupcake Craft, Incy Wincy, Joanna Sheen and Dream Valley. All these challenges are based around christmas, have a good day all!

Wednesday 5 December 2012

Hi, what a chilly day it's been, I thought a bit of warming up with some hot drinks was in order...I found this gift box freebie kit on one of the cardmaking sites and gave it a go (it's the pink one which comes out pre-coloured and you just glue it altogether) the blue one I made myself for the boy version using some d/load paper from Creative Cottage which is sadly no more. So the digi image on the boy one is from Paper Pretties 'winter warmer', (a win, many thanks), coloured with Promarkers, sentiment from a stamp in my stash.

The tops of both using an oval and some freebie stamps that came with a magazine.

Closer one

The inside bases lined.

Maybe a tangerine or two is less fattening. Hope you liked the inspiration...I'm afraid there's lots of challenges to get through mainly on the Christmas theme so I'll list them here..Papertake Weekly, Lexis Creations, Promarker, i Love Promarkers, Ladybug Crafts Ink, LEJ, Stamp and Create, Natalie & Amy, Paper Shelter, Allsorts, Love to create, Paper pretties Wednesday, Sentimental Sundays, Incy Wincy, Bunny Zoes, Creative Card Crew and Dream Valley. Whhhhopppeeee..that's a lot there! Many thanks for coming over, stay warm wherever you are, bye!

Monday 3 December 2012

Good evening crafty people! Hope all is well in the crafting community...my card is showing my latest win from LOTV..absolutely stunning stamps, if I was a millionaire I'd buy them all!!! The centre image is 'playtime kitten', perfect for a baby card, coloured with Promarkers, mini tags and bottom wording stamps from 'babys companion stamp set', paper from Nikky's Sundae of Seasons spring section, faux stitching, a fern punch used, ribbon and paper rose from stash and oh the base card is using the Go Kreate dies from My Mums Craft shop.

The inside..didn't want it to be too busy as the front just says it all really, washing line is from the Babies Companion set and the sentiment from a Nutcrafters wedding set. As my base was black, I thought it's always a good idea to make life easier for the person writing it.

The Back using 'everyday grungy messages'.

Hope you like this one as much as I've enjoyed creating it!!! Challenges I'm entering are firstly LOTV 'pastels', Glitter n Sparkle 'flowers' as is J and C Creations, Paper Pretties Monday 'use ribbon', Craft Pad 'stitching', ABC 'c for clear out'..the black card was bought some years ago, House of Gilli 'anything goes'. Many thanks for visiting and hope you'll keep an eye on the LOTV Ideas to inspire blog for oodles of fab inspiration from their very talented team, bye for now.
